Open-source Hermes Gadget SDK turns an ESP32 into a voice terminal for your Hermes Agent
Teknium · x · 2026-10-04
Teknium boosted Hermes Gadget SDK, an open-source community project by Adolanium that turns an ESP32 with a small screen and microphone into a push-to-talk terminal paired with your own Hermes Agent. Speak, Hermes thinks and answers out loud; permissions are requested right on the device, and its LEDs, relays and sensors become agent tools while memory and skills stay on your Hermes.
- Ships ESP32 firmware, a desktop simulator running the same code, and a Hermes platform plugin — no hardware needed to try it
- Unofficial project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Nous Research
- Full repo on GitHub (firmware/plugin/Python SDK/tests), just released with minimal stars
