KMP: recovering project decisions and evidence across Claude and Codex via MCP
Mountain-Raise-4556 · reddit · 2026-10-04
A developer building a game with Claude and Codex created KMP (Kernel Memory Protocol), which exposes stored project context through MCP so agents can record decisions, completed work, and evidence — and retrieve them in later sessions.
- Demos show returning to an older project: recover the backlog, pick a story, check dependencies, implement and test, then inspect the evidence graph
- A second demo recovers a card-versus-consumable design decision, recorded changes, and test results after switching from Claude to Codex
- Finished stories are logged with evidence, giving the next session a record to verify before continuing
- Code and setup available at underpass-ai/kmp; the author inspects the graph with ChronoLoom
