Dialkit macOS ships open source: tune iOS interfaces live from your Mac
mikelikesdesign · x · 2026-10-04
Developer mikelikesdesign open-sourced Dialkit macOS, a Swift package forked from Josh Puckett's original Dialkit web project, following his earlier Dialkit iOS work.
How it works: Your iOS app runs in the Simulator or an Xcode Preview while the inspector runs on your Mac—sliders, color pickers, and text fields live in a full-size window and update the app in real time, solving the problem of on-screen controls obscuring what you're tuning.
Architecture: The inspector UI runs in a separate process; the agent only starts in debug builds. The repo ships with examples, tests, and troubleshooting docs, installable as a Swift Package.
