Claude Code builds a 0.8MB single-file 3D ski map of La Thuile from OSM data
polipopa · reddit · 2026-10-04
A developer used Claude Code to build an interactive 3D map of the La Thuile ski area in Italy (linked to La Rosière, France), runnable in the browser on phone or desktop.
How it works: a Python script downloads piste and lift data from OpenStreetMap plus elevation from AWS Terrain Tiles, then bakes everything into a single 0.8MB HTML file with no backend — a clean example of combining public data sources into a lightweight tool with Claude Code.
