Ditchthem.wtf launches: pay $2 to challenge incumbents like Notion and Cursor in a live arena
mhdfaran · x · 2026-10-03
Ditchthem.wtf is live — a "ditch the default" arena where new products publicly challenge incumbents across dozens of categories, from Notion and Lovable to Cursor, Perplexity, and n8n.
How it works:
- Each category gets a battleboard where challengers pay to compete against the default tool
- The "2× Ditch Rule": pay 2× the current bounty to take the #1 rank, with bounties doubling ($1→$2→$4…)
- Only the top 3 challengers stay live; displaced challengers retain 100% of their credit
It's essentially a gamified, pay-to-rank leaderboard that gives indie hackers and new products a marketing stage for cold-start exposure by publicly challenging the status quo.
