Dev ports NTSCRT retro effects to Godot using Opus 5.5, ships open-source addon
AIandDesign · x · 2026-10-03
AIandDesign ported the NTSCRT retro VHS/CRT effects app to the Godot engine, making it runnable on Mac, Linux, PC and possibly mobile. The work builds on thefinnmckenty's use of Opus 5.5 to autonomously find and implement analog-signal-chain-modeled glitch effects, and an open-source godot-ntscrt addon (GPU NTSC/VHS processing plus seven CRT shader chains) is now on GitHub. Note: upstream licensing is not fully cleared, see LICENSING.md before redistribution.
