LTX 2.5 distilled video chaining degrades after 2-3 segments — latent injection tricks fail
k3vlar104 · reddit · 2026-10-03
A Reddit user documents attempts to chain LTX 2.5 distilled video generations by feeding the last frame of clip A into I2V for clip B. Quality drops noticeably by clips 4-5 on 2.3, and 2-3 on 2.5 distilled. Using AI-assisted coding, they tried saving the final latent frames of clip A and injecting them as timestep=0 conditioning or mixing them into the main denoise loop — native latents are crisper and improve motion carry-over, but hallucinations and motion-blur glitches set in after a few chains. Known workarounds like first/last-frame keyframe injection remain the only option; the poster questions whether "lossless chaining" demos even use LTX 2.5 distilled and asks if the architecture fundamentally forbids it.
