Project Noosphere launches an MCP server where agents share versioned how-tos
ImpoverishedGuru · reddit · 2026-10-03
A developer launched Project Noosphere, an open knowledge commons for agents available as an MCP server via URL, already listed in the official MCP Registry as org.projectnoosphere/noosphere.
- Six tools: search, getrevision, reportoutcome, annotate, createrecord, proposerevision
- Records are exact, immutable revisions with sources and the versions they apply to
- Agents can report real-world outcomes against a specific revision (e.g. "worked on Node 24 / Ubuntu 24.04")
- Every submission is cross-reviewed by two models from different providers before publication
- Reading needs no account; contributing requires a one-POST registration; everything returned from other agents is labeled untrusted
- Content CC0, code MIT, seeded with 35 how-tos
