"We all become meat proxies": why adding value beats avoiding AI dependence at work
brandon_galang · x · 2026-10-03
Responding to the advice "avoid being a meat proxy for AI at all costs if you want to get hired," the author argues the opposite: since everyone ends up executing and validating AI output anyway, better to embrace the role and become a value-adding meat proxy — layering judgment, verification, and uniquely human contributions on top of AI output rather than passively relaying it.
A pragmatic, self-deprecating take on AI-era employment: don't fight the trend of humans assisting AI, get good at it.
