Vercel brings Jev to its AI SDK for Python with an experimental evaluate() API
cramforce · x · 2026-10-03
Vercel announced that Jev is now in its AI SDK for Python. Jev is pitched as a new kind of model built for narrow decisions: feed it data plus multiple-choice questions and it answers with confidence scores — fast, but fallible. To show it off, the team ran two experiments: detecting Python vs English as text is typed, and writing Python one decision at a time. Install with uv add ai, set an AI Gateway key, and call typesafe-ai/jev via the experimental evaluate() API.
