New Claude Code plugin renders pasted images as thumbnails above the prompt
jarrodwatts · x · 2026-10-03
Developer Jarrod Watts released an open-source Claude Code plugin called image-viewer that fixes the annoyance of pasted images showing up only as bare [Image #1] tags. After installing, pasted images render as numbered thumbnails above the prompt input, so you can see exactly which image each tag refers to.
Install inside Claude Code with /plugin marketplace add jarrodwatts/claude-image-view, then /plugin install image-view and /reload-plugins; a CLI-based claude plugin install is also supported. The project is open source on GitHub.
