marimo launches open-source self-hosted notebook platform marimohub with pluggable storage, compute and SSO
S_Conradi · x · 2026-10-03
marimo released marimohub, an open-source (Apache 2.0) self-hostable platform for storing, managing, and running marimo notebooks on your own infrastructure.
- Bring your own backends: storage (S3-compatible, GCS, Azure Blob, Cloudflare R2, local filesystem), compute (Kubernetes, Docker, Modal, AWS Fargate, E2B, etc.), and identity providers are all pluggable
- One durable store: notebook source, versions, and metadata live together — no separate database to operate
- Full workflow: edit notebooks, connect data, publish apps, schedule jobs, and work with agents from one deployment
- The project has 23k GitHub stars; this is day one of a five-day launch week, with deployment guides and a live config generator available
