GPT-2 in a chat harness plays "itself" surprisingly well, evoking AI Dungeon days

Mike Frank continued his local GPT-2 experiment: GPT-6.1 Sol built an interactive chat app on top of his local GPT-2 install. Given a functional chat harness and engaging prompts, GPT-2 plays the role of "itself" quite serviceably out of the box, matching Frank's memories of its capabilities and character from the AI Dungeon era. He may host the app publicly. Continued testing showed GPT-2 eventually repeating earlier outputs; Sol suggested adding a "regenerate" button.
