Investor ashleymayer says she loves compelling cold emails from founders and has invested in startups she met that way, but obviously AI-generated pitch copy — invariably opening with lines like "Coalition backs founders taking big swings..." — is a major turnoff. Her advice: use AI to strengthen your pitch, don't outsource storytelling to it, and the same goes for decks, since skipping the writing process also skips the thinking it enables.
