Benedict Evans: AI may automate the routine work of junior lawyers, consultants and bankers
rohanpaul_ai · x · 2026-10-02
Tech analyst and former a16z partner Benedict Evans, in an interview on the a16z YouTube channel, argues AI may automate much of the routine work currently done by junior lawyers, consultants, bankers, and advertisers. Quoting the question "a chunk of what the people at the bottom of the pyramid were doing—what happens to that?", he notes only those who have worked at law firms or Bain, BCG, or McKinsey can really grasp how these workflows operate—implying deep restructuring ahead for these industries.
