Wall Street is automating the jobs that used to train junior bankers

Wall Street is increasingly automating the grunt work — research, modeling, number-checking, deck prep — that junior bankers traditionally cut their teeth on.
That creates a paradox: firms still want experienced bankers, but fewer entry-level positions exist to build that experience. AI may not destroy the Wall Street career ladder; it could just remove the bottom few rungs.
