MockAgent: real-time AJV validation to catch agent tool-call hallucinations and retry loops
Zealousideal-Room775 · reddit · 2026-10-02
Testing autonomous agents often breaks on hallucinated tool argument types (e.g. sending "$100" as a string instead of an integer), triggering expensive retry loops. The author released MockAgent, a free local dev tool that intercepts tool calls with real-time AJV validation, feeds structured path-level errors back into context to test prompt self-correction, and injects 429/500 errors and latency for chaos testing agent resilience.
