- Per The Verge, Future laid off Android Central's entire full-time editorial staff; managing editor Derrek Lee, Nicholas Sutrich and others publicly confirmed, and weren't told whether the site would shut down.
- A Future spokesperson says the site "will continue," but new posts now come from freelancers.
- Android Police (owned by Valnet) also cut at least two staffers recently, leaving an editorial team of four. The poster flags the #SEO implications of sites that keep churning out content with no staff.
