PayPal has launched a global online hackathon, "Build What's Next with PayPal and AI," hosted on Devpost and open to developers, designers, founders, and students worldwide.
- The only requirement: projects must meaningfully use both PayPal and AI — no prescribed tracks; agents, payment experiences, automations, and business tools are all fair game.
- Total prizes of about $69,750 in cash plus special awards; partners include Postman, Zapier, Elastic, and Render, offering free tools and credits.
- Submissions open Oct 1 and close Nov 12; 345 participants have already signed up.
