Anima Anandkumar to keynote SC26 on AI for simulating the physical world

Caltech professor and Accelerated Understanding co-founder Animashree Anandkumar will deliver the SC26 keynote in Chicago on Nov 17, 2026, on understanding and simulating the physical world with AI.
She is known for Neural Operators that learn mappings between physical fields across scales — first transforming weather forecasting — and contributed to GenSLMs, winner of the 2022 ACM Gordon Bell Special Prize. She serves on the UN Secretary-General's Scientific Advisory Board and was named to the TIME100 AI list.
