Report: Anthropic pressed the Vatican to alter Magnifica Humanitas text on AI personhood
StewartalsopIII · x · 2026-10-02
Investor Stewart Alsop III amplified a claim that Anthropic tried hard to get the Vatican to alter the text of "Magnifica Humanitas" before its release so it would not deny AI personhood. Alsop also joked that even his shitposts become breaking news and that he deserves Anthropic stock. Unverified, but a notable AI-personhood lobbying allegation.
