Claude Code Launches Mods: Customize Behavior and UI via Plugins
GroovyMelodicBliss · reddit · 2026-10-02
Anthropic's Claude Code team introduced mods, a new extension mechanism that lets users change how Claude Code behaves, customize the UI, and add their own features.
Mods ship inside plugins: write a few lines of TypeScript or have Claude build one for you, then install via /plugin in the CLI or desktop app. A getting-started guide is available on the official blog.
