Claude Code launches Mods: rewrite behavior and UI with a few lines of TypeScript
trq212 · x · 2026-10-02
Claude Code now supports Mods, letting users change its behavior, customize the UI, and swap in custom features. Each mod is a few lines of TypeScript (or Claude can build one for you), and mods ship inside plugins installed via /plugin in the CLI or desktop app. The extension system makes malleable, extensible software a first-class citizen of Claude Code.
