Pydantic hiring senior Rust engineer to build Monty, a sub-millisecond sandbox for AI agents

Pydantic founder Samuel Colvin is hiring a senior Rust engineer to work directly with him on Pydantic Monty.
- What Monty is: a Python interpreter written from scratch in Rust as a sandbox with no filesystem, environment, or network access. It starts in under a millisecond and can be paused, dumped to bytes, and resumed — built so AI agents can write code instead of making tool calls one at a time.
- Status: open-source Monty hit 1.0 in September; the commercial Full Monty exposes the same sandbox over WebSocket as a container image.
- Role: roughly 60% open source (CPython compatibility, interpreter performance, potentially a JIT), the rest on production reliability and scaling, plus security review and systematic sandbox-testing mechanisms.
