Claude Code now supports Mods: customize behavior and UI with a few lines of TypeScript
cedric_chee · x · 2026-10-02
Claude Devs announced that Claude Code is now moddable: you can change how it behaves, customize the UI, and add your own features with a few lines of TypeScript—or have Claude build the mod for you. Mods ship inside plugins, installable via /plugin in the CLI or desktop app. One developer asked whether the design was inspired by DeepSeek's harness.
