- A developer released pi-llama-skip-reasoning, an extension for the Pi.dev harness that forces a local llama.cpp model (e.g. Qwen 27B) to stop its reasoning trace and answer/act immediately — useful when you're deep in a session and just need a quick fact or direct action.
- It uses the same native llama.cpp skip-reasoning mechanism as the web UI (PR #23971), so the approach could be ported to other harnesses.
- Usage: /skip-reasoning command or Alt+T; install via pi install npm:pi-llama-skip-reasoning.
- Caveat: don't skip reasoning for serious problem-solving, as it hurts quality.
