Photon, the startup that staged a funeral for mobile apps, has raised $4.5M to advance its bet that consumers will increasingly use AI agents instead of downloading apps.
The company helps developers build AI agents that operate over iMessage, SMS/RCS, email, and other messaging platforms, letting users accomplish tasks directly in conversations rather than inside native apps.
