Synentra: an open-source gateway that lets AI agents' actions be judged by intent and risk before execution
ziagham · reddit · 2026-10-01
A developer introduced Synentra (Apache-2.0), an open-source gateway addressing an authorization gap: an agent may be authenticated and allowed to call an endpoint yet still attempt an action that shouldn't run (e.g., DELETE /customers/123).
Synentra sits between agents and the APIs/tools they use, applying request → intent → risk/trust → policy → allow/deny/human approval. An intent classifier supplies context while deterministic policy makes the final decision. The author is recruiting developers with real agent workflows to pilot it for feedback.
