Cloudflare opens Artifacts beta and $25k contest to build the next Git platform for agents

Cloudflare's Artifacts — a versioned filesystem that speaks Git and scales to millions of repos — is now in open beta, alongside a $25k competition (plus VIP tickets to Cloudflare Connect) to build the next Git platform on top. The pitch: GitHub was built for human developers, but agents now write much of the code, raising questions about coordinating hundreds of concurrent agents, resolving conflicts, reviewing changes, and tracking intent. Artifacts provides the primitives (programmatic repo creation/forking, versioned storage for code and agent context, standard Git ops); competitors build the agent coordination and review layer above.
