Cloudflare opens Artifacts beta, hosts contest to build the next GitHub for agents
threepointone · x · 2026-10-01
Cloudflare's Artifacts — a versioned, Git-speaking filesystem that scales to millions of repos — is now in open beta, with a contest to build the next Git platform on top. The thesis: agents now write much of the code, so the coordination layer (how agents see each other's work, resolve conflicts, get reviewed) must be rebuilt for hundreds of agents working the same codebase. Artifacts provides the primitives; contestants build the layer above.
