Jelly launches as open-source local-first agent workspace for running your whole business on one VM
Scobleizer · x · 2026-10-01
Developer dctanner open-sourced Jelly, a local-first workspace for persistent AI agents aimed at people building "personal software" (aka jellyware), inspired by @levelsio's style of running an entire business from a single VM.
- Stack: Built with Bun, React, SQLite, and Pi; runs on your own hardware — Mac, Linux box, or VPS
- Multi-agent: Create unlimited agents grouped into project directories; works with an existing ChatGPT subscription or API key
- Browser control: Agents can drive your local Chrome browser, with users able to take over when a login is needed
- Access: Local web UI, or via Tailscale from laptop/phone — add it to an iPhone home screen and it feels like a native app
