Human engineers still far faster than agents, if the product is technical enough

Engineer remilouf (in François Fleuret's team) argues human engineers are still incredibly faster than AI agents at fixing problems — with a caveat: for highly technical products, experts who know the field and codebase remain a huge advantage; for less technical ones, you just need a bigger army of typing monkeys.
