"Don't gatekeep": plenty of inference engineers started without distributed systems background

Responding to a claim that learning inference engineering is only feasible with distributed systems and low-level fundamentals, Benjamin Lelbach pushes back: "Let's not gatekeep. If you're smart you can figure it out." He says he knows plenty of people working on inference systems with no prior background in distributed systems or low-level programming.
