Amazon Mechanical Turk shuts down after 21 years; 17-year-old MTurk Tracker signs off

Amazon Mechanical Turk has officially closed, with the API now returning 410 Gone. The author's Mechanical Turk Tracker, which monitored the crowdsourcing platform for 17 years, has signed off as well — marking the end of the platform that once powered much of AI's data labeling and research.
