Open-Source Astrabox: Describe a Game and AI Builds It, With Voice Edits While Playing
Qual_ · reddit · 2026-10-01
A developer open-sourced ASTRABOX, an AI-powered arcade generator: you describe a game, the AI builds it, and you can request changes by voice while playing. Each game gets its own visuals and gameplay while a shared runtime handles controllers, scores and player joining. Built around Codex with the code on GitHub, it runs as a local web app (no Raspberry Pi or cabinet needed), and the author invites the community to adapt it to fully local coding models and STT/TTS.
