Herbie Bradley: faster agents will force rethink of long-task workflows
herbiebradley · x · 2026-10-01
In a reply to Miles Brundage's point that "there's lots of unmet latent speed demand" for models, Herbie Bradley agrees but notes it gets harder as agents get faster: his longest-running tasks are precisely the ones requiring the most upfront thinking to set up, so if they somehow finished in 30 seconds he wouldn't know what to do. Figuring out how to change working patterns to anticipate instant completion is an interesting open question.
