A ComfyUI user with an AMD GPU reports a dramatic improvement after upgrading from ROCm 7.2 to ROCm 10 (released Aug 27).
- Krea-2 image generation dropped from over 2 minutes to under 60 seconds (50%+ faster); Minimax H3 also runs much faster
- No more system-wide stutter or lockups while workflows run — even audio in a DAW stays clean
- CLIP models no longer need to be forced onto CPU (previously crashed ComfyUI), saving several minutes per generation
- One caveat: the standard KSampler intermittently produced gray/corrupted images; switching to ClownShark Sampler with similar settings fixed it
Installed via pip in a self-managed Python environment with ComfyUI portable.
