London AI x Science Hackathon in October Welcomes Non-Coding Bench Scientists

Science Works and Inherent Laboratories are hosting "Reinvent the Wheel," an AI x Science tool-building hackathon in London's King's Cross, Oct 16-18, backed by Anthropic, Hugging Face, Pillar VC, IQ Capital and DaltonTx.
The event targets outdated, clunky, non-interoperable and expensive scientific software, with teams using agentic AI to rebuild better tools. Bench scientists who don't code are explicitly welcome and will be paired with builders. Prizes include cash, credits and subscriptions, and participants get free Claude Max 20x access for the rest of the month.
