DoorDash launches texting agent that orders food and checks your fridge

DoorDash is beta-testing a texting agent in the US: just text what you want and it orders for you — proactively learning repeat orders, surfacing deals and new spots, joining group texts to collect everyone's orders, and even analyzing a fridge photo to tell you which ingredients you're missing and delivering them.
Omar Moore calls it a smart move: in the consumer-agent era, products available across channels (like iMessage) and agent-friendly will win, and DoorDash's physical driver network makes disintermediation especially hard.
