mattslotnick highlighted a notable detail in OpenAI's marketplace announcement: there appears to be no requirement to use OpenAI infrastructure (i.e., inference) to be listed, and the lineup even includes an open model provider.
That means apps like Factory, Harvey, or Lovable deployed via the marketplace carry no guarantee of OpenAI model spend, potentially bypassing OpenAI's platform monetization levers entirely.
