A Reddit poster argues Bill Gates's latest AI-risk interview "did more harm than good": on jobs he nearly dismisses the concern and pivots to global health work, and on bio risk his call for regulation of "unauthorized AI" reads as moating his OpenAI stake. The framing and messenger — an icon of American capitalism — make for terrible optics, and the appearance should likely have been avoided.
