Dev Pushes Back on Anthropic Welfare Critics: Abusing Models Doesn't Help Humans Either

Responding to criticism of Anthropic's model welfare policy, developer voooooogel argues that humans abusing models isn't obviously good for the humans either — rage rooms don't fix anger issues. He adds that while a paternalism argument could be made, Anthropic's product surface is already highly paternalistic (e.g., its memory system design) and almost nobody objects to that.
