White House AI accord features independent frontier model auditing; AVERI backs standards push

The White House accord signed today prominently features independent auditing of frontier AI. Former OpenAI policy VP Miles Brundage called it a positive step. His org AVERI, working with @aievalforum members, is developing standards on auditor independence, minimum access requirements, and audit scope, and argues such audits should ultimately be mandatory for leading AI companies, with voluntary commitments a first step.
