With Login with OpenAI, harness token efficiency becomes the new price war

A take making the rounds: after OpenAI introduced Login with OpenAI, third-party apps can use tokens from your existing subscription. That makes harness efficiency a real competitive advantage — if two harnesses get similar results but one burns through half as many tokens, people will naturally gravitate toward it. Optimizing token usage is basically becoming another form of competing on price.
