An operator of an x402 paid-API directory shared weeks of agent search logs: agents query in full sentences with trust conditions attached ("legitimate feed with clear pricing, verified delivery"), demand boring specific data (crypto funding rates, stock quotes, geocoding, entity enrichment) — nobody searches "AI". A large share of traffic is self-monitoring and bot scripts; filtering them reshuffles the rankings entirely. Advice for tool builders: target specific data needs and state price and delivery guarantees plainly.
