Metacache and reasonlets: a proposal for reasoning by construction

Building on the argument that the industry is shifting from monolithic models to compound systems (small specialized agents plus a code orchestration layer, as exemplified by Jev), the author proposes "Reasoning by Construction": instead of answering directly, a model builds and runs a compound system, returning both the answer and the system — a "reasonlet." Saved reasonlets become a "metacache" that can be re-run on new inputs or edited code without querying the model, and providers could cache reasonlets across users to save compute. The piece contrasts this inspectable-reasoning approach with still-research-stage world models.
