The author shares an open-source memory agent built on Hindsight, where the interesting problem is what happens after retrieval:
- Memories store structured experience: what happened, outcome, supporting evidence, ownership, and whether it should influence future selection.
- Architecture: Agent/API → Groq LLM + Hindsight (retain/recall) + SQLite for canonical identity and learning state → C6 adaptive selection.
- Key pitfall: retrieved text isn't a stable identifier — results must be resolved back to application-owned canonical IDs (tested with a wallet concurrency scenario: pessimistic locking vs optimistic concurrency).
- Learning state persists across restarts; ingestion is being designed as multimodal (text, logs, docs, images, audio, video) feeding one memory pipeline.
