Target Atlas: Hundreds of Biomni Agents Synthesize Drug Target Evidence in Parallel
KexinHuang5 · x · 2026-09-30
The author introduces Target Atlas, agentic target intelligence powered by Biomni agents. Choosing a drug target is one of the most consequential decisions in drug discovery, yet the evidence is vast, fragmented, and constantly changing—manual systematic assessment across thousands of targets is nearly impossible. Hundreds of AI agents search scientific literature and databases in parallel, extract evidence against defined target-assessment criteria, and synthesize it into structured, source-linked assessments. The Atlas isn't static: scientists can deploy Biomni agents to interrogate evidence, integrate private data, compare and prioritize targets, test hypotheses, and carry out downstream work from analyses to binder design and experiment planning. The first disease-specific application, on Parkinson's disease, was developed with The Michael J. Fox Foundation.
