OpenAI's Thibault Sottiaux announced that the ChatGPT platform is opening up to third-party builders:
- Developers can build full native apps with plugin extensions and ship them directly inside ChatGPT
- ChatGPT now claims over 1.2B weekly users
- Relevant plugins will be surfaced automatically within conversations, rather than requiring user search
