OpenAI revenue reportedly nears $70B annualized run rate, closing gap with Anthropic

OpenAI's business revenue has more than doubled since July, pushing its annualized run rate toward $70 billion, per Axios — growth of over 70% since the start of Q3. The consumer business added more revenue this quarter than in all of 2025. For comparison, Anthropic is reportedly expected to exceed a $100 billion annualized run rate this year, putting OpenAI roughly 30% below despite different timing — but on a very strong trajectory.
